'The Sun's House'

'The Sun House' is the name for houses that have the ability to heat water, dry clothes and operate electric vehicles . all by solar energy, and also the theme of Solar Decathlon 2007 just closed. October 19.

Solar Decathlon is organized every two years, Solar Decathlon is a competition of designing, constructing and operating houses with beautiful architecture, operating on solar energy in the most energy-saving direction.

During the week of the contest, at the National Mall National Park in the center of Washington, there was a 'Sun Village' with 20 apartments each of about 75m ² , using full energy from the Face. Heaven and designed to suit the living needs of a normal family in America.

The 'Sun House' must maintain a comfortable temperature, sufficient light and enough energy for household electrical and electronic appliances, hot water systems, and electric cars. The photovoltaic battery system is covered on the roof toward the south and plays the role of creating most of the domestic energy. The electricity is then stored in 24 panels and energizes the house for 48 hours.

Overcoming 19 competitors from universities in the US, Canada, Puerto Rico and Spain, the Technical University team Darmstadt (Germany) won the championship because of the creative use of heating and cooling systems simultaneously. Smoothly integrate solar energy technology into the overall design of a one-bedroom apartment. The second and third prizes went to the universities of Maryland and Santa Clara in the United States.
