The tallest and the lowest in the world meet

The world's tallest and lowest man has had the opportunity to meet each other for the first time on November 13 on the occasion of the 10th annual Guinness World Record in London, England.

Sultan Kosen, a 31-year-old Turkish farmer, 2.51m tall, met with Chandra Bahadur Dangi, 74, from Nepal, 55cm tall. Before meeting Mr. Chandra, Kosen said "very interested in seeing how tall he is" and standing up to his feet.

"Of course when I saw Mr. Chandra, I realized how small he was , " AFP quoted Kosen as saying.

The world's tallest man sharing a meeting with Chandra is a "miracle" thing , although he admits having to bend quite low to take pictures is a bit difficult.

"I have a problem with my knee, and if I stand too long, I will get tired," Kosen said. "I love London and finally meet Mr. Chandra. Although he is low, and I am tall, we still have the same war, that is to overcome the difficulties of life. When I look at Mr. Chandra's eyes, I can see this is a good person ".

So far, Chandra is the shortest adult ever recognized by Guinness Records.

"I am very happy to meet the tallest person in the world. I am curious to meet my opposition," Chandra told AFP.

In addition to the title of the world's tallest man, Kosen also holds the Guinness record for owning the largest hand with a length of 27.5cm, and the largest leg, 36.5cm. Kosen's development is thought to be caused by a tumor affecting the pituitary gland. Kosen often had to use crutches when traveling. About 600,000 people around the world participate in Guinness World Records celebrations.
