According to Dr. Bui Quang Te, the leader of the treatment team of Hoan Kiem Lake, the water of Sword Lake was pumped into a turtle tank from last night, replacing tap water.

" Since the Turtle met the lake water, we have not seen any negative reaction from him. So tomorrow or the next day we will bring the Turtle back to the lake, " said Qi today.

Before testing for turtles living in the lake water, the treatment team performed 4 times of analyzing Turtle's specimens, the last time on May 30 last, the results showed that the Tortoise completely recovered.

" At present, the color of blue lake water is right as the name of Luc Thuy lake, other aquatic, temperature and micro-elements in the lake are guaranteed to return to the Turtle. when releasing Tortoise tools to nature ", Dr. Te added.

This morning, Hanoi Fisheries Department released about 60 thousand fish into Sword Lake to make food for Tortoise, mainly drifting fish, sesame, tilapia, Mr. Te added. Currently, the Hanoi People's Committee assigns the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to draft a regulation to protect Sword Lake and the living environment for Turtle.

Sword Lake turtle was brought to shore to treat ulcers from the beginning of April, after a massive raid. The health of the Tortoise always draws special attention to the public, because the Tortoise is said to be the sacred symbol of Sword Lake, Hanoi, as well as the nation's desire for peace.

This Tortoise is a female, when caught weighing 170 kg, length of 208 cm, width of 103 cm. According to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (CI), there are 4 turtles of this species in the world, two in Vietnam and two in China.
