The tree of the Buddha's Nest still lives after 2,500 years

The founder of Buddhism was enlightened under a Bodhi tree in India 25 centuries ago and today the Bodhi Tree is still alive.

The Buddha of the Tathagata, or the Tathagata, attained a great deal in the Sanskrit language, the founder of Buddhism. He was the son of a royal family of the Shakyamuni lineage of Nepal today. Although he is a prince, he does not care about the luxurious life but is determined to leave the palace to live asceticism and many monks. Legend has it that all-encompassing is completely enlightened after 49 days of meditation under a Bodhi tree in Bodh Gaya village, Bihar state, India.

Scientists at the Forest Research Institute in Dehradun City, Uttarakhand State, India, reported that the Bodhi Tree is still associated with the Tathagata Buddha, still alive, Xinhua reported.

'The Bodhi Tree is still energetic , ' said Subhash Nautiyal, a scientist at the Forest Research Institute.

Nautiyal and his colleagues put cement sheets around the Bodhi Tree after checking it. They think that removing cement sheets will help plant roots to receive water and nutrients more easily.

A temple dating to about 1,500 years is built near the Bodhi Tree. It is an attractive destination for countless travelers around the world, especially those from Japan.
