There has been a policy to develop the digital content industry
On May 3, 2007, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung signed Decision No. 56/2007 / QD-TTg approving the Program on development of Vietnam's digital content industry by 2010.
The overall objective of the Program is to develop digital content industry into a number of key economic sectors, creating favorable conditions for people of all strata to access digital information content products, strongly promoting formation and development of information society and knowledge economy.
8 policies and solutions to develop the Digital content industry development program include: Completing the legal environment for digital content industry; Policies and solutions for market development (demand stimulus, domestic market development, export market development); Product and service development; Mobilize resources and attract investment in digital content industry; Development of Internet-communication infrastructure; Training and developing human resources; Promote research and development; Enhance safety, security and intellectual property protection.
The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Post and Telematics to assume the prime responsibility and coordinate with ministries, ministerial-level agencies, agencies attached to the Government and People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities in organizing the implementation of this program.
The program implementation cost is about VND 1,280 billion, taken from the state budget (40% of the central budget and 30% from the local budget); mobilize contributions from domestic and foreign organizations, businesses and individuals (accounting for 30%).
