There will be a High Technology Law
In the meeting on April 18, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly agreed to raise the project of the High-Technology Ordinance to Law and assigned the Government to be the drafting agency.
National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Phu Trong stressed that it is necessary to raise the High-Technology Ordinance into law, because if stopped at the Ordinance, it would be entangled with other laws, while the reality is that there should be policies to create breakthrough for high-tech development.
In this view, Minister of Science and Technology Hoang Van Phong said that high-tech regulations are still scattered in many different legal documents, which are lacking and have not been timely adjusted according to the requirements. on high technology development in practice, especially the development of high-tech enterprises.
According to National Assembly Vice President Nguyen Van Yeu, it is necessary to research and develop a high-tech law early this year and submit it to the National Assembly for discussion and issuance in early 2008.
