With the direction of moving along the central coast, the sixth storm of the year began to affect the mainland from August 7. In the evening of the same day, the storm is expected to land in Hai Phong - Nam Dinh provinces, the wind is still level 7.
According to the Central Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, 16h on August 6, the storm center is in the south of the Hoang Sa archipelago, about 290km from the coast of Thua Thien Hue - Quang Ngai to the northeast. Strong storm level 8 (maximum winds of 74 km per hour).

Director of the meteorological center Bui Minh Tang said that it is expected to land on land from 20:00 to 7/8 storms. The area of direct influence is determined from Nam Dinh to Hai Phong. However, Thanh Hoa and Quang Ninh should take precautions.

By the afternoon of August 6, the functional forces announced to guide more than 49,000 boats with nearly 247,000 people knowing the location and direction of the storm to prevent. In which, there are 5 ships of Quang Ngai and Khanh Hoa operating in North East Sea and Hoang Sa archipelago; 32 ships and 314 people are anchoring to storms in Hainan Island (China).
The Ministry of Defense also mobilized more than 230,000 cadres, soldiers, militia and militia, 828 canoes, 624 cars and 6 aircraft ready to respond to storms.
