This weekend there will be a beta version of Vista SP1
According to a source close to Microsoft, the company may release the first beta of Windows Vista Service Pack 1 this weekend. It is expected that the official version will be released in November this year.
So far Microsoft has not disclosed what is included in the actual version of Windows Vista Service Pack 1. Service Pack is a package of updates to fix security bugs and common errors that help increase Stability and safety for the operating system.
The world's No. 1 software company has not yet revealed the exact time of the official release of Windows Vista Service Pack 1, but only said that the first release will be available sometime later this year.
WinBeta.org Blog yesterday (July 18) reported that Microsoft Windows Driver Kit Developer (WDK) team sent an email to inform the testing community that the latest version of WDK has been completed. It will be released with the first beta version of Vista SP1. This is a sign that Vista SP1 has also been completed.
Others have suggested that Microsoft will release the first beta of Vista SP1 on July 19, coinciding with the date Microsoft released the report for fiscal year 2007.
In an email interview yesterday (July 18), a source close to Microsoft said he was informed by Microsoft insiders that Vista SP1 will be released later this week. At the same time, another instant messaging interview with the test community of Microsoft also confirmed that Vista SP1 will be released later this week and the official version will be released in November or December this year.
At the Microsoft Global Partnership Conference held in Denver two weeks ago, Microsoft Vice President of Business Windows, Mike Sievert, hinted that the Vista SP1 development plan is still right route.
