To build Sa Huynh cultural historical preservation area

On the morning of December 28, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai started construction of Sa Huynh Cultural and Historical Heritage Area. This is the tourism highlight connecting with the chain of "Central heritage road".

Sa Huynh cultural and historical relics area was built on an area of ​​20 ha in Go Ma Vuong, Long Thanh 2 village, Pho Thanh commune, Duc Pho district. At this location, in 1909, French archaeologist M.Vinet first discovered a freshwater lagoon with 200 graves.

The reserve includes outdoor conservation items, exhibitors supplementing relics and relics of Sa Huynh culture that have been excavated by archaeologists in Quang Ngai within 100 years.

The project has a total investment of nearly VND 32 billion from the national target capital and the budget of Quang Ngai province. It is expected that in 2013, the protected area will be completed to serve visitors, tourists and Sa Huynh culture research.

Talking to PV on the afternoon of December 28, Dr. Nguyen Dang Vu, director of Quang Ngai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said: "The completed Sa Huynh cultural historical preservation area will be the highlight linking with "Central heritage road" to create attractiveness, attract domestic and international tourists and researchers ".

Sa Huynh culture was determined to form around 1,000 BC until the end of the second century. Sa Huynh culture along with Dong Son culture, Oc Eo culture formed the cultural triangle of Vietnam.
