In particular, due to the effects of Typhoon Haima, a strong tornado swept across two communes of An Lu and Trung Ha (Thuy Nguyen) at dusk. Lasting for about 30 minutes, the tornado has left the scene of ruin when more than 20 houses were completely knocked over, more than 1,000 other houses and many classrooms were roofed. Trees and electric poles are broken everywhere. All two communes lost power.

Nguyen Thi Tuoi (An Lu commune), a pregnant woman who was about to give birth, was killed by a fallen tree. About 80 others were injured, of which 40 were seriously injured and were hospitalized to an emergency.

On the evening of June 23, the leaders of Hai Phong city as well as Thuy Nguyen district were present at the place of the disaster, and directed to temporarily overcome the consequences of the tornado. In the immediate future, households with collapsed houses will be relocated at the offices of the CPC and surrounding households.

It is expected that in the morning of June 24, the district will proceed to restore collapsed houses to the people. Initially, the district asked the city to assist people in distress with the death toll of 5 million VND per person and injured person at 3 million VND per person.

Meanwhile, according to the Central Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, 16:00 pm on June 23, the storm center is located on the northeast coast of Leizhou Peninsula (China) and about 300km from Mong Cai (Quang Ninh). eastward. The strongest wind is in the area near the center of the storm with level 8, level 9-10.
