Track tumor movement with the body's navigation system
The device called Reix helps track tumor movement, cancer treatment and early detection of diseases inside the human body.
Scientists at MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and the Massachusetts General Hospital, USA are studying one side of the body to help detect and monitor disease more quickly and accurately, according to MITNews.

Professor Dina Katabi, the leader of the study, said that ReMix has been implanted in animal tissue marked with a fake tumor. The group uses a wireless device with radio signals to detect heart rate, breathing and movement. Then use the algorithm to track the exact position of the marker.
"ReMix accurately tracks every centimeter, does not need a battery or any external energy source. Physicians can implant this device to monitor tumors and provide medication for each part of the human body , " Ms. Katabi said.

Dr Deepak Vasisht, a member of the research team, said the device could treat cancer by bombarding tumors from magnets controlled by magnets. This approach allows doctors to prescribe higher doses of radiation, usually limited to certain cancers.
If the tumor moves, healthy parts can come into direct contact with radiation. ReMix helps doctors better define the location of tumors in real time to provide appropriate treatment directions and control the beam in place.
"If you want to use this technology in cancer patients, the device must be technically feasible and better model the physical structure of a person , " Mr. Vasisht said.
According to the team, they are still working to improve Remix. Initially, scientists will combine wireless data with magnetic resonance scanning (MRI) technology to further enhance the accuracy of the device.
