Treat urban waste by wet method

Trinh Van Thien, 63, a retired teacher in Le Chan District, Hai Phong City, has successfully researched the urban waste treatment line by wet method.

This research has been granted a patent for a useful solution by the National Office of Intellectual Property (Ministry of Science - Technology). And has been effectively applied to treat garbage in An Lao Town, An Lao District, Hai Phong.

Mr. Trinh Van Thiem said after the initial treatment and classification, waste will be divided into three main categories: floating, floating and sinking. The main floating waste group is cellulose and polymers are minced as wood fillers; processing as fertilizer; making polymer laminated plywood and processing recycled plastic.

For suspended waste groups are suspensions (suspended solid particles in liquid dispersing medium), emulsions (insoluble substances) are used for fertilizer production. Particularly, the submerged garbage group is separated sand for construction and metal recycling; Sand and gravel, broken bricks . are separated, crushed and bricked.

Wastewater treatment line by wet method has been applied by Ha Vu Environment Company Limited in An Lao town, An Lao district, Hai Phong. This mini waste treatment plant has a capacity of 15 tons per day.

After four months of trial production, all the old and new waste of An Lao town has been thoroughly treated, leaving no stench. However, this is only handled on a small scale, the largest processing capacity can be up to 100 tons per day depending on the installation of equipment technology lines. In the condition of frequent input garbage, the machine can operate continuously and cyclic, closed.

Currently Mr. Thiem's ​​price is about VND 100 million. The reason for this is low price because the mechanical equipment installed, manufacturing technology, additives, chemical deodorant, disinfectant . are available in the country.

Although there are many ways to handle garbage by different methods in our country. However, the solution of waste treatment by wet method has brought high efficiency but low cost and quite suitable for towns and townships where there is a small amount of waste.

The process of treating waste by wet method is carried out in the following way: urban garbage is poured into the treatment tank to spray the odor and then to be flushed with water. Garbage through the batch system to wash garbage and transport floating garbage to the end of the tank. The conveyor will remove the floating garbage. Open door system for spillage water to flow into each tank, deposition recovery of suspensions, emulsions, mechanical solutes. Then go through gate 8 to return the settled water back to the reservoir. Next door No. 11 will open the water in the tank and continue the closed loop cycle of the garbage treatment process.
