Tropical depressions melted, the flood in the Central region increased quickly

Completing tropical depression and strong cold air causing heavy rain from Thua Thien Hue to Phu Yen, flood will reach approximately alarm 3.

Provinces from Quang Ngai to Binh Thuan have very heavy rain, with the amount of 50-70 mm. Some places with heavier rainfall, such as: An Nhon (Binh Dinh) 100 mm, Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh) 110 mm, Tuy Hoa (Phu Yen) 80 mm .

In the meantime, cold air has spilled into Central Central Vietnam causing heavy rain for Thua Thien Hue and Quang Nam. In Thua Thien Hue, during 3 pm on November 19, the rainfall in Ta Luong is 163 mm, Bach Ma is 91 mm.

The central hydro-meteorological center said that due to the circulation of tropical depressions combined with cold air, from the night of November 19, the rain area expanded to North Central. Floods of rivers from Thua Thien Hue to northern Phu Yen, Gia Lai and Kon Tum will rise.

Early morning, flood of Kon river in Binh Dinh and Ky Lo river in Phu Yen will reach the peak with an alarming level of 2-3. Floods of rivers from Thua Thien Hue to Quang Ngai, Kon Tum and Gia Lai continued.

At about 7:00 on November 20, the water level of Bo River (Thua Thien Hue), Tra Khuc (Quang Ngai) is near the alarm 3; Kon and Ky Lo rivers are on alert 2.

Flash floods, landslides in mountainous areas, local flooding in low-lying areas may occur in Thua Thien Hue provinces to Phu Yen and the Central Highlands.

"At present, Central Vietnam and Central Highlands have many important reservoirs, many lakes are full of water, high risk of unsafe for these lakes," the meteorological agency warned.
