Exotic 600-year-old lotus seed blooms in China
A lotus seed was found dating from 1280 to 1420, which means that around the Yuan Dynasty to the beginning of the Ming Dynasty woke up and flourished yesterday in China.
Nurtured by technicians, lowering the ancient lotus seed has blossomed on August 16. Currently, this flower is on display at an exhibition with 3,000 other lotus flowers in Hefei botanical garden, Anhui province, China.
The 600-year-old ancient lotus seed in China blooms and everyone is surprised
This is one of more than 200 ancient lotus seeds that hatched this year. Earlier these lotus seeds were discovered in the spring of 2014 at a construction site in Jining City, Shandong Province, then transferred to Beijing botanical garden.
After successful seeding, some seeds began to grow in Beijing in June, revealing pink flower buds. However, the lotus is displayed at Hefei botanical garden in white and cyan color, it is likely that this is another type.
