Use Excel as a Wiki application

Picture 1 of Use Excel as a Wiki application The popular spreadsheet program of Microsoft is being "overhauled" thanks to Jotspot company (USA) to allow people to share and edit information in Excel file right on the website.

The Excel program was originally created to support small calculations, but is now used for all purposes from organizing work schedules, saving personal information of employees to building family meeting plans. However, people often share files via e-mail and then it is difficult to summarize all the different details into one common file.

With Jotspot Tracker, users can log into the website and operate in groups on a separate Excel spreadsheet. Jotspot CEO Joe Kraus said the new program allows a group of people to participate in editing data on interactive spreadsheets. He described this as a wiki application company. The term "wiki" is now broad in terms of web pages where users can access and change information.

" We do not intend to replace Excel but just want to eliminate certain obstacles to improve the teamwork process because Excel is now a product for one user ," Kraus said.

Jotspot Tracker was released with beta yesterday and version 1.0 will appear within the next 3 months at a projected price of $ 9.95 / month.
