Video: Finding rare albino whales off Mexico

The giant white whale reminds people of a sea monster story in Herman Melville's 1851 novel.

According to Daily Mail, Manuel Gonzalez, 35, is talking to you when they suddenly discover the extremely rare creature swimming near the boat.

Albino whales are very rare. White is caused by genetic mutations, preventing proteins from producing pigments. The video was filmed off the coast of Magdalena, south of Mexico.

'At first we thought the whale was gray, but when looking closely, it was 100% albino , ' Gonzalez said. 'I do not believe my eyes because this is like a dream come true'.

'I have seen albino creatures in photos, documentaries or scientific articles. But I never thought I had a chance to see such a creature in real life, ' Gonzalez explained.

The Mexican government said the last time they recorded albino whales appeared in 2008. But Gonzalez is not sure if this is an albino whale that appeared in 2008.

According to Gonzalez, this is the time when whales appear in the area. Local fishermen then stopped fishing and switched to offering whale watching tours.

Gonzalez himself was very busy then taking tourists to see the sea . 'I love my job. Seeing whales every day is a great thing. '
