Video: Ocean flow in the world
The world's ocean currents are constantly moving, playing a very important role in regulating the Earth's climate as well as affecting the migration of many species.

The Goddard Space Center of the US Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) made a video simulating ocean surface flow around the world, from June 2005 through May 2007.
To obtain the above images, the scientists used the calculation model developed by NASA's JPL Jet Propulsion Laboratory called " Estimating the Circulation and Climate of the Ocean" Phase II, or ECCO2.
ECCO2 is a high-resolution oceanic model globally as well as sea icebergs. ECCO2 simulates ocean currents at all depths and surface currents, while analyzing whirlpools, heat and carbon transport systems in the ocean.
