The conch is one of the snails that possesses the killer venom in the Conidae family. They hunt by a straw and a poison gland. In the daytime snail snails rest. When night falls, they move on the seabed like other harmless snails. They lurk their prey by hiding their bodies under the sand and just raising the straw. When the prey comes close, they will grab the target and inject the poison into the bait. The poison makes the prey paralyzed and the cones swallow it easily.
