All snakes eat meat. They can eat other snakes and small mammals, animals such as lizards, birds, other species of eggs or insects. Some species have venom to kill prey before consumption. Some other species are prey to death. There are even snakes that swallow their prey. Most snakes when locked up are easy to eat, except for some special types.
