Vietnam owns the Asian space forum

Asia-Pacific Space Agency Forum (APRSAF-15) is taking place in Hanoi and Ha Long, in the context of Vietnam implementing the strategic direction of research and application of space technology. by 2020.

APRSAF-15 takes place over four days from December 9 to December 12 with the criterion "Universe technology for sustainable development". The main content of this year's forum is the application of space technology in natural disaster prevention, environmental protection, satellite information and education to raise awareness about space science.

In addition to delegates from regional countries, attending the forum in Vietnam, there are representatives of major space agencies around the world such as the European Aeronautics Agency (ESA), the Aeronautics Agency. US pillar (NASA), UN Organization for Aerospace Use (UNOOSA), UNESCO, ASEAN .

This year's forum discusses the main contents such as: earth observation (application of space technology in remote sensing, processing satellite images to protect natural resources and the environment); application of telecommunications satellites (using space to improve living standards, applications of telecommunications satellites for distance education, communication with remote areas); use aerospace (conduct experiments on ISS international space station) and discuss space science training.

On the sidelines of the APRSAF-15 forum, there are a number of extra-curricular activities for students who love space technology. Including the drawing contest on space for children aged 8 to 11 and water rocket competition for students aged 12 to 16. The missile competition will take place on December 14 at Dai Hanoi pedagogical school.

The APRSAF annual forum was established in 1993, to enhance the cooperation in the space sector between countries in the region, and at the same time promote the development of the universe program of each country. This activity is an opportunity for space agencies and international organizations in Asia and the Pacific to exchange experiences on the application of space technology to economic and social development.
