To be awarded this title, university students will participate in the contest written with the theme: " Domestic waste - a part of life ". 20 contestants with the best cards will be awarded the Environmental Ambassador and receive a scholarship worth VND 3 million of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The two best environmental ambassadors will attend a one-week environmental tour in Leverkusen, Germany, November 2006.
Bayer Environment Ambassadors Program (BYEE) in Vietnam was organized by Bayer Group in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central 2006.
BYEE is an environmental education program for young people with the sponsorship of Bayer Group and the UN Environment Program (UNEP). The program was created to raise environmental awareness, train young leaders in finding solutions to environmental problems, establish networks and exchange knowledge and information among country. At the same time, the program also provides opportunities for young people to access modern technology, habits and lifestyles.
Awards ceremony for Environmental Ambassadors will be held in Ho Chi Minh City in August 2006. It is expected that the program will be held annually in Vietnam. Application form and details of the program refer to www.bayeryoungenvoy.com.
BYEE was held for the first time in Thailand in 995. This is the first time BYEE has been in Vietnam. Previously, the program has been successfully organized in countries: Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, India, China, Korea, Indonesia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Colombia, Brazil and Poland.
