Thousands of people flocked to Penglai Beach (China) to witness a strange mirage: from a thick fog, a modern city with skyscrapers, immense roads, and cars bustling . gradually revealing, real and surprisingly clear.

The whole sea was silent before the magic illusion, as if people were trying to hear whether there was any sound coming from . across the city.

This phenomenon, which lasted for four hours, fell on Sunday again, so soon more than 30,000 cross-country guests were able to gather on Penglai's coast to admire the ecstatic moment of creation.

It is known that before the strange event, the city experienced two days of rain and white. This is not the first time illusion appears on the waters of Penglai - which is located on the eastern tip of the Shandong peninsula and is revered by folklore.

As explained by scientists, illusion occurs when the moisture in warm air is warmer than the temperature of seawater, creating a phenomenon of refracting light lines and reflecting the landscape from the ground to the sky.
