The fishermen donated a lobster to the National Trust for an exhibition before releasing it into the ocean this year. The lobster is on display at the Old Coastguard station of the National Trust in Robin Hood's Bay. The staff of this organization are calling on the public to name the special shrimp.

Lobsters are usually brown or gray, helping them to camouflage on the rocky seabed. However, many lobsters are orange or blue, making them stand out underwater. Unique colored lobsters are the target of the chef's search, and many restaurants are willing to pay a high price to buy them back.

According to experts, the rate of white lobster in the world is 1 / 1,000,000. The white color of lobster is the result of a rare gene mutation called leucism , which causes partial loss of pigmentation in animals. Vitiligo is slightly different from albino, the syndrome of complete lack of pigmentation, which causes the object to have red or pink eyes.

Vitiligo lobsters are hard to survive in the wild because the easily identifiable shell color makes them a target for predators. Vitiligo not only affects marine animals but also occurs in birds, mammals and reptiles.
