A new study found that men love to get married and cooperate very well in the face of threats to protect their rights. This may explain why war is only for men, said Professor Mark van Vugt at Kent University in southern England.
"Men react strongly to dangers and we call it a male warrior effect," he said.
Men are willing to join the war to defend their homeland. They were also more likely to lead troops and run groups in a more military way than women.
"That cooperation is necessary to set up institutions, governments and wars," van Vugt added.
