Win China, Vietnam won the Asia-Pacific Robocon

Lac Hong University (LH - GALAXY) won convincingly in the final in the speed race.

On the afternoon of August 26, at the Ninh Binh Sports Competition Center, 19 teams from 18 countries and territories competed in the Asia-Pacific Robocon Contest (ABU Robocon 2018). The representative of Vietnam had two teams from Lac Hong University: LH - ATM (Vietnam 1) and LH - GALAXY (Vietnam 2) participated in the international round.

This year's contest has a topic of throwing , based on folk games of ethnic minorities in the Northwest. The groups will control the robot to deliver the fruit and automatically throw it over the circles on the field. The team that throws the golden fruit through the ring and lands on the tray is also the winner.

Chinese team made before but missed the goal, the Vietnamese team 2 threw back and was correct. Vietnam team 1 defeat in the quarterfinals when playing against the Japanese team. In the end, the Vietnam 2 team won the ABU Robocon championship 2018.

With the victory of Vietnam team 2, Vietnam won the first time on home turf after 3 times hosting.

Mongolia is the host country of the ABU Robocon 2019.
