Windows Live Planet is a new social networking site for Microsoft, as well as other social networks users can through Windows Live Planet to search for friends and chat online . Not designed as simple as other social networking sites, the interface of Windows Live Planet is designed to be more colorful.

Although Microsoft has not yet made a formal statement about the site, Microsoft has confirmed that the site is the company's website. Windows Live ID or Hotmail account users can log on to Windows Live Planet, set their home page, name the planet and design. You can also invite friends from other social networking sites to join.

Windows Live Planet also integrates Windows Live Messenger, you can see your MSN friends online at the bottom left corner of the web page, and can chat right away with them.
