Telegraph said scientists from the Autonomous University of Mexico chose a remote village in the Mexican border to conduct research on the difference between men and women in the ability to remember sugar. Experts ask the villagers to find a certain amount of mushrooms in the forest. To get that mushroom, they have to go to the forest many times. The team found that, with the same amount of mushrooms, men lost at least 70% more effort than women.

Why do men have to spend more effort in finding mushrooms? After interviewing and observing the villagers, the scientists found that men find their way much faster than women. But in the times of returning to the old places in the forest, the women remember the road more accurately. Therefore, they take less time and effort than men in finding mushrooms.

Scientists believe that the phenomenon stems from the role of men and women from primitive times. When people live by hunting and gathering, men go to the forest and hunt animals they meet randomly. In contrast, women must remember places where there are lots of vegetables, fruits and vegetables to continue collecting in the next time.
