Yahoo hunts for content for mobile services
Yahoo is calling other websites "gathered under the covers" to expand and enrich mobile search content. All to attract users to huge advertising cash flow.
All websites that want their content listed in Yahoo's Mobile Search Directory are "red carpeted" from this Tuesday. The application process is simple: Just submit an application and send some typical content to Yahoo.
In fact, Yahoo is looking for ways to thicken the content treasure for a new 3-month-old service called "oneSearch". This service is designed to provide essential information for mobile users without forcing them to search through a lot of links like when searching the Web.
According to Yahoo, up to now, 85% of US mobile phones have access to oneSearch. The company hopes to expand this service to other regions soon and become a pioneer in mobile search, after years of chasing Google rival's Web search service in desperation.

Shake hands with mobile TV
On the same day, the Web giant also announced it would shake hands with MobiTV to sell and broadcast video ads on mobile phones. The cooperation project will be officially promoted from the end of this year.
" MobiTV is a pioneer in mobile TV and we are excited to be with them to promote mobile advertising mayor, " said Bruce Stewart, vice president of Yahoo.
