Steep all the power to perform the attack in the hope of being able to control the fastest prey, the lion rushes to chase. But unfortunately for it, the zebra quickly kicked a piece of the right onto the lion's jaw which made it stunned and enlisted to run.

Immediately, the lion regained the pride of performing the next attack. With the speed of the Lord of the Forest, it quickly caught up with the potential lunch, jumped on the back of the zebra and pierced sharp teeth deep into its flesh.

Undeterred, the zebra desperately fought against the enemy to keep his life. He dodged, jumped up and out of the lion jaw again. But surprisingly, the predator quickly regained his position to chase the zebra and grabbed its tail. However, it is unfortunate for him to be stomped by a muddy quagmire and slipping away, causing the prey to have a chance to flee and leave behind the lone grassland lord who is shy of losing to a group of children.

The fascinating hunt in Ngorongoro conservation area, Tanzania has accidentally entered the lens of American wildlife photographer Thomas Whetten.
