Our feet are dying from the age of 25 without you knowing

Some degeneration will start early at age 25 - the age you still think is healthy and young.

Your feet are a valuable asset that nature gives. It takes you everywhere, on every street, traveling around the world. However, do you know that time will also gradually reduce the flexibility of your legs in many ways?

As soon as you are young, you should be aware of degeneration of the legs over time. Besides injuries, one of them will start early, right at age 25. And if you don't take care of your feet properly, you may have to travel in a wheelchair for the rest of your life.

Feet are valuable assets that nature gives.

1. You will gradually get on your foot bones

There are two important proteins in the body: collagen and elastin . They are the factor, combined with connective tissue, to create your smooth skin when young. Collagen and elastin also contribute to building up thick pads under the feet.

Unfortunately, the body that produces these two proteins decreases year after year. Starting at age 25, you lose 1.5% of collagen. By the year 30, you lose 15%. The number in the 40s is 30% and 45% at the age of 50. That means the foot pads are getting thinner and thinner.

"Without thick padding, your legs will only be good in the morning. But at the end of the day, the pain will come, because you are going mainly on your bones," Pedro Cosculluela, doctor, expert on feet and ankles at Houston Methodist Hospital said.

The cushion of the foot will become thinner and thinner.

Although some medical facilities advertise injections or implants of fat and collagen, there is no evidence they work, Cosculluela noted. The only solution is to have shoe pads added. Buy a gel for comfortable shoes, if you don't want to move only in the middle of the morning.

2. Attack of arthritis

Your feet own more than 30 joints. All will degenerate with age, Cosculluela said.Arthritis first attacks the big toe or the instep joint . Besides feeling pain, you will see stiffness every time you wake up. The situation improves a bit when you travel during the day, but it will get worse at night.

Hip and knee joints also gradually degenerated, Cosculluela said. It will make your feet ache with different movements. The best way to overcome and prevent them is to increase daily exercise, not to lose weight , advice from Andrew Shapiro, chairman of Podiatric, New York Medical Association.

3. The toes bend and deform

Over many years you squeezed your toes in high heels? The toes begin to arch and deform. It starts just like a mild discomfort, but the pain will change over time. The unsightly-looking calluses also appear, where you rub against your shoes.

High heels make your toes deformed.

There is no way you can limit cramped shoes. Buy more comfortable sports shoes, place them in cupboards and cushion pads on high heels."I often instructed female patients to put their bare feet on the paper. Then, draw a line around their feet , " Cosculluela said. "In the end, I put on their shoes. If the lines were too much, I knew they were not good shoes for them."

4. Blood circulation is slow

As you get older, more and more conditions slow down the blood flow in your legs , Spapiro said. That makes the wounds on the legs more difficult to heal. Following that is nerve damage and you don't even realize the infection on your leg. Maybe an ulcer will never heal.

Right from a young age, you have to start to notice the progression if you have a wound on your leg. In particular, this is necessary in people with diabetes or venous disease. Installing a floor mirror in the bathroom may be a simple way to do that, Cosculluela said.

5. Tendon stiffening

You will no longer be agile in yoga or martial arts sessions. The reason is that the amount of water in the tendon decreases with age. It hardens the tendons in the legs, especially the ankle area. It will be a big obstacle for movements that require toughness.

Maintaining daily exercise helps combat this degeneration, says Dr Haber, a New Jersey foot and ankle specialist. It takes you only 10 minutes for foot training exercises to easily find them online. If you have had a tendon injury in the past, the exercises will prevent them from recurring.

6. Stretch the ligament

Besides the tendon problem, ligaments connecting the bone heads at the joint will also expand over time. It makes the joints become loose. Many ligaments may also lose function. It causes more popularity of sprains. At a severe level, you will need surgery.

Right now, you can prevent it by wearing a knee brace while exercising. If you have a ligament injury, you must follow the treatment plan. Returning to activity can cost you money in the future.

7. Dry skin

Is this a problem? Of course, no one, especially women, wanted cracked and wrinkled legs. The reason comes from the fact that collagen is being produced less. Moisture and nutrients do not provide enough skin to make it become dry and cracked.

Reducing collagen production makes skin easier to dry and crack.

You can delay this result by making sure your skin always has a certain amount of moisture. Take care of your skin regularly with moisturizing products with twice a day."Most people don't realize the importance of the frequency they use moisturizers. They will ask why my skin is no different even though I still apply moisturizer once a day , " Haber said.
