100-inch liquid crystal display

LG.Philips has confirmed that they have successfully developed TFT liquid crystal TVs 1.5 times larger than the current 82-inch model. It is about the same size as the largest plasma screen available on the market.

LG.Philips P7 is a large screen LCD TV with a size of about 2.2 mx 1.2 m. The system supports a 5-millisecond response time and delivers 6.22 million pixel image quality. In addition, the P7 has a maximum contrast ratio of 3000: 1, 92% color reproduction and 180 degree viewing angle thanks to Super IPS technology.

Sang Deog Yeo, deputy director of LG.Philips LCD development center, said: " The 100-inch screen is a proof that we are the world's leading group of large-screen LCD technology. Technical advancement for LCD TVs, such as expanding to 100 inches, is an important catalyst for consumer demand for high quality products ".
