It is known that Phuong Mai wind power plant construction project was started by Phuong Mai wind power joint stock company since 2002.

In August 2005, EPN Company signed a framework contract with Phuong Mai wind power joint stock company to implement a construction project and provide financing for clean energy projects in Vietnam. The first selected project is also Phuong Mai wind power plant (Binh Dinh).

However, until now, the implementation of this project is almost still trampled in place.

According to the director of EPN JNHeckl company, with the investment project to build Phuong Mai wind power plant, EPN has a thorough preparation process both in technology and finance.

Up to now, EPN is ready to launch the project to build this factory with complexes with capacity of 50 MW (phase 1) and will increase its capacity to 350 MW. Mr. JNHeckl wishes to be facilitated by Binh Dinh People's Committee to implement the project in Nhon Hoi EZ and pledged that the factory will officially go into operation in mid-2007.

Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee Vu Hoang Ha agreed to let EPN joint venture - Phuong Mai continue to implement Phuong Mai wind power plant construction project and require joint venture parties to focus on speeding up the construction progress. put works into operation to serve activities of Nhon Hoi EZ in the shortest time.

Also at the meeting on March 2, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on EPN joint venture - Phuong Mai, invested in phase I of the project on an area of ​​150ha with a total capital of 65 million USD by the Reconstruction Bank. German KfW sponsored.

The joint venture is expected to start clearance in June 2006, early September 2006 will bring equipment to Vietnam to install Phuong Mai wind power plant can officially generate electricity in mid-2007.
