Lam Dong develops wind power
With a velocity of 6-8.5 m / s, wind resources in Lam Dong meet all the factors to develop wind power. Two wind power plant projects in Da Lat and Duc Trong are being implemented to be able to exploit wind power in 2013.

Lam Dong People's Committee has just granted a license to an investor of a wind power plant in Tram Hanh commune. The plant has a design capacity of 300 MW, divided into 10 stages of implementation. Phase 1 was conducted in December 2011 with a capacity of 30 MW. It is expected that the entire project will be implemented in 24 months, operating at the end of 2013.
Ninh Loan wind power plant in Duc Trong district is also being implemented to measure and choose the location to start in 2013.
According to the investor, wind power brings clean energy, serves the needs of life, contributes to economic development and creates many jobs for local workers.
Wind power also has many other symbiotic resources such as reducing emissions, occupying very little area so there is not much cost for relocation and resettlement. Especially under the wind pillars people can still produce agriculture.
