The new invention promises revolutionary wind power

Scientists at Edinburgh University (Scoland) have published a scientific discovery related to the design of wind power generators, promising to create a revolution in wind power for the world.

The two scientists Markus Mueller and Alasdair McDonald have solved the most problematic problem for the wind power industry today, which is wind power generator, which is still too high cost, unstable operation and low extraction efficiency, can not be popular applications in life.

Turbines of the current generation of wind power generators have propellers that are connected to power generators through a gearbox. Due to the high cost of installation mainly in the sea, in bad weather conditions, this system is very vulnerable to damage and overcoming them is extremely expensive.

Scientists have invented a new structure that allows the propeller to be mounted directly to the transmitter, thereby reducing the weight of the transmitter by half and the installation becomes much easier. When wind power generators are cheaper, they will be popularly installed not only offshore, but also inland.

The two scientists established a company called NGen Tec to commercialize their invention. The University of Edinburgh has bought 17.5% of the shares and hopes it will be the most profitable subsidiary.
