Cheap wind power of amateur inventor
Dang Hong Quang's wind-powered generator is a vertical type - a rare design today that can produce enough electricity to illuminate a family with an initial cost of less than 2 million VND.
As a writer but passionate about electricity and electronics, Mr. Quang has explored and learned to design useful devices for life with a durable and cheap motto to serve the poor.
His cheap wind power machine formed by accident. In a time when he went to the North with his son, he saw that the can of fresh water was finished, he took it and cut it quickly, then suddenly thought, "Why not make a generator from the wind like this pinwheel?"

Curious, researched, failed many times, the machine gradually completed and today many families order from South to North to install and use.
Unlike other popular wind power machines, Mr. Quang's wind power machine is designed in the form of vertical pillars with many wings with a large wind barrier to be able to operate in weak wind conditions. Wind blades are mainly made of corrugated iron. Seamless iron frame to be cheap and easy to apply. The most expensive part of a fan is a dynamo generator. The design cost for a machine is only about 1-2 million dong.
Wind power if operating continuously for a day can produce 6 kWh of electricity, enough to serve the lighting needs for families, suitable in remote areas.
The amateur inventor revealed that he is researching the design of generators powered by water, with the aim of serving poor people in the river.
Born in 1951, Mr. Quang graduated from Ho Chi Minh City Pedagogical University, currently a member of HCMC Writers' Association. Passionate in physics and electronics, he studied an electronic basic course and designed some useful devices, twice winning the city's creative awards. He is also the author of many books on electricity and electronics .
