The secret of extending life is not far away but comes from the daily routine. In Circulation, Harvard scientists (USA) have compiled five rules to help you have an additional 12-14 years of life.

The 2002 study showed that quitting smoking at age 35 helped an additional 7-8 years of life expectancy. People who give up smoking when they are 65 years old also live longer than those who still smoke.

Maintain a healthy weight

Harvard University found that those who are at low risk of early death all achieved BMI in the range of 18.5 to 24.9.

You don't need to train too hard, just walk 30 minutes a day. In addition to increasing life expectancy, physical exercise also improves memory, mood and learning ability.

Limit drinking beer and alcohol

People who know to limit themselves, do not drink more than 2 beer per day often live long. For men, the amount of alcohol absorbed daily should only fluctuate between 5 and 30 g, equivalent to two beer glasses of 350 ml.

Replace with healthy food

Harvard University recommends placing food quality on top and choosing whole grains instead of processed grains, fresh fruits instead of juice. In fact, people who use high quality foods like green leafy vegetables, oatmeal, fish, nuts and beans tend to live longer.
