8 m monster shark body exposed belly on the English coast

The nearly 8-meter monster shark floated with the stomach flipping up near the rock at Chapel Point in Mevagissey, the Mirror reported. Ocean experts say this is a dried shark, the second largest fish in the world and the largest in British waters.

The impressive specimen was discovered by Matthew Facey, who photographed Cornwall coast on April 23. Volunteers from the Marine Strandings Network of the Cornwall Wildlife Trust are sent to the scene to look at the giant animal and officially confirm its origin.

" We received a report about the shark the night before. We didn't want to send people at night, so we decided to wait the next day and it was lucky that the shark was still there. Many dried shark carcasses were encountered in the Cornwall area this year. According to Clear, April and May are the easiest time to see this animal.

Some parts of the UK become hotspots for watching exposed sharks, including the southwest, Man Island and the west coast of Scotland. Exposed sharks can reach a length of 12 m and are a no-catch species since 1998. Also known as "gentle giants", they are one of the only three shark species that specialize in plankton and often appears off the UK in spring and summer.
