Industrial robot of TOSY Robot Joint Stock Company impressed at IREX 2009 exhibition in Japan. The person who contributed to this success is Hoang Tosy, a former member of robotcon team in Hanoi University of Technology.

Ho Vinh Hoang - General Director of TOSY Robot Joint Stock Company was born in 1981, he was called Hoang Tosy by intimate friends. Hoang Nguyen is the captain of the BKCT University of Hanoi University of Technology, the champion team at Robotcon 2003 competition.

Capitalizing on making toys from a young age, he always dreamed of making Vietnam's own robots. In 2002, when he was a student at Hanoi University of Technology, he established TOSY Robot Joint Stock Company, with the goal: TOSY will create a breakthrough in the field of manufacturing robots. And now he has gradually achieved his dream.

At IREX 2009 in Japan last November, 4 models of 'Made in Vietnam' technology robots were stunned by the world's leading robot manufacturers. These 4 industrial robots include: 2 6-step free robots, multi-purpose machines that can do many jobs to replace workers in manufacturing plants such as welding, painting, assembling, packaging, moving materials. ; 1 Scara Robot 4 degrees of freedom and 1 Parallel Robot 3 degrees of freedom. These are high-speed robots, applications to pick up products on fast moving conveyors, with accuracy of 0.1mm, range of 0.6 - 2.0m; load from 1 to 30kg.

Hoang said every industrial robot product is a convergence of many complex technologies. Precision mechanical machining technology in micrometers (one millionth of a meter); material technology and heat treatment; precise motion control technology; software technology, image recognition technology.

Currently, only 6 countries in the world have developed the robot industry. With TOSY's success at this exhibition, Vietnam will become the seventh country to produce and export industrial robots.

But why does TOSY build industrial robots with similar features that cost only 1/3 to 1/4 of the world's leading robots? Hoang said that by producing all the main components of industrial robots such as motors, gearboxes, electronic circuits, control software, the price should be lowered.

Join IREX 2009, TOSY also offers upgraded toy products. The robot has the shape of TOPIO has been upgraded to version 3.0, has 39 degrees of freedom, 1m88 high, weighs 120 kg.

There are also types of toy robots that look like elves, TOSY balls, TOSY flying saucers. Especially TOSY flying saucer has been upgraded to a more stable version of 2.0 and added new features, surpassing strict standards of toys of Japan, USA, EU, Australia.

After these successes, TOSY continues to research new industrial robot models to attend the Automatica Exhibition, the world's largest exhibition on automation in June 2010 in Germany.
