The Australian boy has conquered the tiger shark weighing 8 times his own weight and is likely to break the world record that has existed for 22 years.

According to the Daily Mail, 8-year-old Jayden Millauro subdued the tiger shark when he and Jonathan father and Ibby Dardas, the captain of the ship, fished off the southern coast of Sydney, Australia last week.

The group went fishing with bait to the big hook and then threw it into the sea to wait for the result.

"The whole group was very excited to see the shark from the boat. Jayden grabbed it right now and we assisted , " Jonothan told 9News.

Despite only 40kg, Jayden still managed to subdue the 314kg shark shark with a special 15kg fishing line.

"I tried to keep my balance by kicking the boat into the boat. When the animal was about to be pulled up, I was quite worried because it might slip off the hook and escape. But fortunately it didn't happen." , 8-year-old boy shared.

The tiger shark is weighed.

When the group went ashore to weigh, they realized the tiger shark weighed 2kg more than the shark holding the weight record captured by Ian Hissey in April 1997. Hissey's feat of capturing a 312kg tiger shark has held the International Fish Association's record for 22 years.

Jayden, the youngest member of the Port Hacking Game fishing club, learned how to fish from the age of 2.
