According to Live Science, the moccasin snake, the only North American water snake with venom , has a thick body and a triangular head. They are not active in biting humans and only attack when they feel threatened.

The main food of moccasin water snakes is mammals, birds, amphibians, fish, snakes, turtles and small crocodiles. They are not afraid to eat poisonous snakes.

Meanwhile, rattlesnakes, native to the Americas, have a common feature that their tails can vibrate and make a sound. Most rattlesnakes are very poisonous. The amount of their venom quickly paralyzes the prey's nervous system.

When a person is bitten by a rattlesnake, the toxin will soak from the wound into the bloodstream, breaking the vascular wall cells and causing a very dangerous phenomenon of bleeding.
