AMD released two new generation graphics cards for the Mac
AMD has just completed the next generation ATI Radeon X1900 graphics card for the Mac G5 version, with the ability to combine the creative power of workstations and outstanding performance for high-end 3D games.
ATI Radeon X1900 is an upgraded version of high performance PCI Express graphics card for Power Mac G5 Quad and Power Mac G5 Dual. According to Ron Paley, president of AMD's Computer, Audio and Visual Division, the new series will help Apple applications such as Final Cut Studio, Aperture and Motion get real power.
According to AMD vice president and general manager Rick Bergman, ATI Radeon X1900 G5 Mac is the fastest graphics card available for Power Mac G5 Quad and Power Mac G5 Dual systems.
Specifically, the power of ATI Radeon X1900 G5 Mac includes: 36 pixel shader processor; 256MB RAM video; 37Gbps memory bandwidth; 2 DVI ports support two high quality 30-inch Apple displays - Apple Cinema HD screen.
Prices for the ATI Radeon X1900 G5 Mac are $ 349.
