Cat Tien National Park rangers said that people living in the buffer zone such as Nam Cat Tien, Daklua, Ta Lai communes (Tan Phu-Dong Nai district) and communes located in the core zone of the Garden of Cat district Tien, Lam Dong province still goes to the forest to set traps and hunt for wild animals. Although the rangers are always active in propaganda, advocacy and patrol, but the entire forest of more than 73,000 ha cannot be fully controlled with a thin force.

It also means that many animals continue to be hunted. There were months during the patrol, forest rangers discovered thousands of animal traps, hundreds of trapped wild animals were taken to the center to take care of, most still reptiles and birds.

In the past time, the Center also cared for and cured dozens of cases (mostly large animals such as bears and monkeys) that were transferred from surrounding areas such as in the Central Highlands and Central Vietnam.

Cat Tien National Park was recognized by UNESSCO as a biosphere reserve of the world and is in the process of finalizing documents to submit to this organization for recognition as a world natural heritage site. The garden has a diverse forest ecosystem with thousands of species of plants and hundreds of mammals, including dozens of rare and precious animal species in the red book of the world. Therefore, the operation of the Endangered Wildlife Rescue Center is one of the positive actions to protect biodiversity in a place that is considered the " lung " of this world.
