Automotive lighting in the future will be completely automatic, different from the current car lights. This is the work of Vietnamese Professor Tran Quoc Khanh, Dean of the Faculty of Lighting Engineering at the Technical University Darmstadt, Germany.
This new lighting engineering system will be fitted with a " smart camera " along with extremely sensitive sensors and fully automatic, self-regulating light. With the subjects on the road and the driver does not need to manually adjust the light level of the lamp.
In the event of a sudden roadblock, the new automotive lighting system will immediately focus the light on the obstructions so that the driver soon recognizes the danger ahead and activates the steering wheel. , ensure safety. Professor Tran Quoc Khanh said that the scientific work has been successfully tested in practice and will be mass-produced for sale by the end of 2009.
Prof. Tran Quoc Khanh studied mechanical engineering and doctoral studies at the University of Ilmenau, then worked for 17 years as a lighting engineer. He also developed the world's first digital movie projector (Digitale Kinocamera) for the Hollywood Film Center, USA.
At the Technical University of Darmstadt, he and other scientists studied the different elements of light engineering. Since October 2006, Professor Tran Quoc Khanh has been appointed head of the department of lighting engineering and has expanded several other research areas, especially digital technology in the field of film projection.
