Begin to grant the 5th round of Ho Chi Minh Prize and the State Prize on Science and Technology
Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Quan has just signed the Official Letter No. 2043 / BKHCN-TDKT on the plan to award the Ho Chi Minh Prize and the State Prize for Science and Technology for the 5th round.
On July 30, 2014 , the Government issued Decree No. 78/2014 / ND-CP on Ho Chi Minh Prize, State Award and other awards on science and technology. On November 6, 2014, the Ministry of Science and Technology issued Circular No. 31/2014 / TT-BKHCN regulating a number of articles of Decree No. 78/2014 / ND-CP of the Government.

Accordingly, the process of awarding the Ho Chi Minh Prize and the State Prize for Science and Technology (referred to as the Award for short) in phase 5 is carried out independently at three levels: grassroots level; Ministries, branches and localities; State level. In particular, the State level is carried out in two steps at the Council of Appreciation of Specialized Awards and at the Council of Awarding State-level Awards.
In terms of progress, consideration and award of awards at the Council of all levels and expected time limit for submission to the Prime Minister for consideration and award results. For the Grassroots Council, to consider and award prizes from December 1, 2015 and complete before December 31, 2015. The Ministerial Council held a review of the Award from January 5, 2016 and completed before February 28, 2016. Ministry of Science and Technology received the application for consideration of awarding the State-level Prize on March 5, 2016. The State Council organizes a review of the Prize from March 10, 2016 and is completed before June 12, 2016.
The Ministry of Science and Technology would like to propose the agencies and organizations to base themselves on Decree No. 78/2014 / ND-CP dated July 30, 2014 of the Government; Circular No. 31/2014 / TT-BKHCN dated November 6, 2014 of the Ministry of Science and Technology and this Plan to implement the awarding of awards according to schedule.
