Belgium cultivates new tomatoes with genetic modification

New varieties of tomatoes can grow in barren, alum soil and produce 30% more than regular tomatoes.

Scientists at the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium) have cultivated a new tomato variety through genetic modification technology.

The new tomato variety can not only grow in barren soil and alum, but also produce 30% higher yield than regular tomato varieties, and in accordance with food safety requirements.

The reason why the new tomato variety has outstanding advantages is because scientists only renovate the cell gene in the root section, and do not change the chromosomes in the entire stem.

This makes the fruit of tomatoes unaffected, the whole stem does not form material that harms the natural environment.
