Bio-plastic bags are able to self-destruct quickly

Scientists at Brazil's Campinas University have introduced a new type of bio-plastic bag that is capable of rapidly destroying itself.

According to Patricia Farro, the leader of the study, the bag is self-destructive under the action of microorganisms (buried underground) within 18 days, while the self-destruction time of the petrochemical plastic bag is 600 years.

This new packaging is transparent or yellow, with a maximum weight of 500 grams, which can be used to store sweets, foods or shield weak plants in the botanical garden.

Currently, this product is in the process of industrial and economic feasibility testing before being put into mass production.

The first sample bag was made 3 years ago but still good. However, the inventors continue to test the durability of this type of bag.
