In terms of texture, the DrinkMate is 4.3 cm long with a diameter of 1.5 cm. Instead of battery-powered, the device uses power directly from the phone when plugged in via USB. In principle, users only need to connect DrinkMate with Android smartphones. Then follow the instructions of the application on the phone and blow it on the meter. BAC results will be displayed within a second.

It is noteworthy, as recommended by the manufacturer, that the customer before the measurement should wait 15 to 20 minutes after the time of consumption of alcohol.

Currently, the developer DrinkMate says it is raising capital on Kickstarter to lower production costs. In particular, the iPhone version of DrinkMate is expected to be built in the coming time based on success from the Android version.
