Shimane University and Nano Corp (Japan) have cooperated successfully to apply a new technique to treat screw fractures made primarily from the bones of patients.

This technique is applied in cases of fractures in small joints such as wrist joints.

Doctors will take a pea-sized piece of bone from the patient and turn it into a screw with a diameter of 1 - 5 mm.

This screw is used to connect broken bones and become part of them thanks to the bone-building function of proteins in the bones.

This will reduce the cost of surgery in the case of metal screws (about 870 USD / time) because the patient has to undergo twice the surgery: inserted and then removed.

New techniques will help patients less pain.
