The technique known as Transcranial Direct Traction (TDCS) has been rapidly gaining ground and has recently been used to develop devices that help relieve pain, support memory and enhance concentration.

The technology works by transmitting low-intensity current to different parts of the brain, depending on the purpose, through the wearer's ring around the forehead. According to engineers at the University of New Mexico's Center for Neurological Research, the device uses the power supplied from the 9V battery and generates an oscillating current of only 1 to 2mA.

The research was funded by the US Department of Defense and experts said they tested the equipment on Air Force pilots. Results showed that those who received TDCS had performed 25% better training tests than those without brain stimulation.

It is important that the new stimulus bracelet is neat and easy to use than conical hats containing hundreds of sensors that stimulate the brain before, so it can be widely used in the public.
