According to scientists, someday this new technology will allow doctors to make quick decisions and choose the best treatment for cancer patients.

The glass chip is a collaborative product of the University of Alberta research group and the Alberta Cancer Commission and many other engineers and researchers.

It costs about 100 Canadian dollars (94 USD), which is much cheaper than currently used cancer surveillance methods. It also showed earlier test results, within 24 hours compared to many days today.
